| Statement by the Hon. Bob Rae, Foreign Affairs Critic for the Liberal Party of Canada |
[Nov. 28th, 2008|01:06 pm] |
This morning's National Post column by John Ivison erroneously quotes me as saying the following:
"Mr. Harper is on firm ground when he acts to protect the country's security and prosperity..."
I did not, in fact, make these remarks. Canadians will know that I do not believe Mr. Harper is on firm ground even at the best of times.
The quote from the previous paragraph was mistakenly extended to encompass a portion of Mr. Ivison's commentary.
Mr. Ivison has assured me that this was an editorial error, and I have accepted his apology. |
